Create Tracking Export Automation

This is where you bring together the data extracts and file destinations you configured previously.

Step 1

Select Overview.

Step 2

Select New Automation.

Step 3

In the modal window that appears, select Schedule and then OK.

Step 4

You will be presented with a workflow tool. This is where you will configure the activities you created into a workflow Salesforce Marketing Cloud can execute.

You will use the Data Extract and File Transfer activities.

Drag Data Extract into Step 1 and File Transfer into Step 2. These are empty templates and will need to be configured.

Step 5

For the Data Extract template, select Choose.

Step 6

Select the Data Extract activity you defined earlier and select Done.

Step 7

For the File Transfer template, select Choose.

Step 8

Select the File Transfer activity that you created earlier. Select Done once complete.

Step 9

The final step is to define a schedule. Schedule the extract with the following settings:

Start Date

tomorrow

At

1:00 AM

Time Zone

Central Time US & Canada

Repeat

Daily

Every

1 day

End

Never

Step 10

Ensure the schedule is active and not paused.
