# Create Tracking Export Automation

This is where you bring together the data extracts and file destinations you configured previously.

**Step 1**

Select *Overview*.

**Step 2**

Select *New Automation*.

**Step 3**

In the modal window that appears, select *Schedule* and then *OK*.

**Step 4**

You will be presented with a workflow tool. This is where you will configure the activities you created into a workflow Salesforce Marketing Cloud can execute.

You will use the *Data Extract* and *File Transfer* activities.

Drag *Data Extract* into *Step 1* and *File Transfer* into *Step 2*. These are empty templates and will need to be configured.

**Step 5**

For the *Data Extract* template, select *Choose*.

**Step 6**

Select the *Data Extract* activity you defined earlier and select *Done.*

**Step 7**

For the *File Transfer* template, select *Choose*.

**Step 8**

Select the *File Transfer* activity that you created earlier. Select *Done* once complete.

**Step 9**

The final step is to define a schedule. Schedule the extract with the following settings:

**Step 10**

Ensure the schedule is active and not paused.
