Tealium

Before You Begin

Make sure you have the following prerequisites in place before you begin:

  • Access to Tealium Customer Data Hub.

  • The Tag Mapping Document provided by Clario (shows how to map your variables into each Clario tag).

  • Ample time; this process will take about an hour.

Feeling Stuck?

If you need assistance getting Clario's tags in place, please reach out to your Clario Customer Success representative. Our support team will be happy to assist you in getting everything in place.

Step 1: Confirm Load Rule Coverage

Clario's behavioral tags depend on being triggered at the appropriate time. Verify that you have load rules to cover the following cases:

  • page view

  • search

  • cart add

  • cart remove

  • transaction (purchase)

If you are missing coverage for any of these cases, contact your Clario Customer Success representative and they can assist.

  3. Set load rules

  4. Set data mappings

Perform these steps for each of the following:

  • Page View

  • Search

Step 3

To keep things organized, prefix each container you create with Clario - . i.e. Page View would become Clario - Page View. Toggle Publish to Prod to No.

Insert Tag Code

Complete the following while still on the Tag Configuration tab of the Customer Container you created above.

Step 1

Scroll down to Advanced Settings and expand the item by clicking the caret.

Step 2

Step 3

The template modal window will appear. Select all of the existing code in the template and remove it. In your favorite plain text editor (Notepad++, VS Code, vim, etc) open the Clario tag corresponding to the tag you are editing at Tealium. Select all code in your edit, copy, and then paste the code into the Tealium code editor window. Click Apply and then click Close.

Set Load Rules

Load rules are dependent on the tag.
