# Create Data Extract Activities

**Step 1**

Define Tracking Exports In **Automation Studio**. Navigate to Journey Builder → Automation Studio.

**Step 2**

In Automation Studio select *Activities*.

**Step 3**

Select *Create Activity*

**Step 4**

You will be presented with a number of options. The first step is to define a data extract from Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Select *Data Extract* and *Next*.

**Step 5**

You will be presented with a screen where you define the ***properties*** of the *Data Extract* activity. Use the following properties to complete the form. Select *Next* once complete.
